Low Vision ClinicA. P. Darling Low Vision Center
The Arthur P. Darling Low Vision Centers have been established with the assistance of the local Lion's Clubs to help people overcome limitations that may impede them from performing daily activities. A Low Vision Specialist will evaluate the degree of usable vision and prescribe the most effective optical devices available. An instructor will provide training in the use of the prescribed devices to ensure maximum benefit. The clinics are staffed by four area Eye Care Specialists. The physicians are Dr. Bleiler and Dr. Cranston of Twin Tiers Eye-Care, as well as Dr. Cordes of Guthrie. For more information, call STAVI at 607-734-1554. The Clinics are held in Elmira at 719 Lake Street and in our new Corning location at the Corning Senior Center, 1 Park Lane, Corning, NY by appointment only.
